'Lovely Locks' Show Highlights Hairstyle Varieties

"'Lovely Locks' Show Hightlights Hairstyle Varieties", by H.M. Cauley

If your list of New Year's resolutions includes a new 'do', you're sure to find inspiration among the varieties of artistic hairstyles in the "Lovely Locks Show."  The art exhibit that puts the focus on hair runs through Jan 16 at Studio Biba, 90 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Having an exhibit in a hair saln inspired artist Lisa Shinault to pay particular attention to her subject's coifs.

"It's all about the hair of the females in the paintings, " said the Cabbagetown artist, who is noted for oil paintings that are sewn together.  "They all have lovely little hairstlyes."

The locks are depicted on large canvasses as well as small ceramic tiles.  Check them out for no charge from 10am to 6pm Tues. through Sat.  For more info, call Studio biba at 404-659-2440.
